This lesson plan on the Triangle fire can also serve as lesson plan or an entire unit plan. For Grades 4 and up, it provides tools for classroom use that illustrate how a tragedy can teach and how, very often, it seems to take a tragedy to provide impetus for changing laws. The Triangle fire is a pivotal tragedy in labor history and spur to new labor safety legislation.
