Our pre-candidacy course provides an introduction to the National Board Standards and a window into the certification process of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS). Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the standards, as well as the NBPTS’ Five Core Propositions and the Architecture of Accomplished Teaching. This course is also for educators who want to learn more about the NBPTS’ Evaluation of Evidence as well as for those who are simply interested in analyzing their professional practice and reflecting on their craft.
